Finance and Budget

Welcome to the Finance Department

The Finance Department ensures accountability through budgeting, accounting and reporting on the municipal financial transactions. Emphasis on infrastructure and asset management has increased awareness of the costs attributed to maintenance, replacement and potential future expansion. A focus on expenditure reduction, changes in operational efficiencies and future grant opportunities are a priority for the municipality. Collection of property taxes and other revenue, along with accounts payables, accounts receivables and payroll are all functions of this department of the municipality. The Finance Department continues to be responsible for generating financial data to monitor organizational progress and accountability.

Financial Statements
The Township of Cramahe’s Financial Statements are prepared by independent external auditors (Baker Tilly) and provide a detailed summary of the Township’s financial position and performance for the year.

Please contact the finance team if you require further information.

Asset Management
In Cramahe, Asset Management is a coordinated approach to getting the most value from Township assets. It helps ensure we deliver services efficiently, manage costs responsibly, and plan for long-term maintenance and future needs.

Each year prior to budget preparation and deliberation, local community groups and service clubs are open to apply for grant funding through the below application. Please note to be considered in the 2026 budget year all applications must be submitted no later than October 31, 2025.
