The Next Municipal Election Will Be Held Monday October 26, 2026.
Municipal Elections play an important role in shaping the future of our community.
The Township of Cramahe encourages all eligible residents to participate in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. Voting in Municipal Elections allows residents to help shape local decisions that affect daily life, including roads, infrastructure, recreation, land use planning and community safety.
You are eligible to vote if you:
-
Are a Canadian citizen
-
Are at least 18 years old on election day
-
Reside in Cramahe Township or are the owner or tenant of land in the Township
-
Are registered on the voters’ list
Check or Update Your Voter Information
If you have recently moved, changed your name, or turned 18, please take a moment to confirm or update your voter information through Elections Ontario to help ensure our voters’ list is accurate.
Check or Update Your School Support Designation
As of January 1, 2024, the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) no longer collects voter information for municipal elections. MPAC is, however, still legislatively required to collect school support designations. Residents can update their school support directly through MPAC's Online School Support webpage.
Method of Voting – 2026 Election
On September 23, 2025 Council passed a resolution authorizing the use of internet and telephone voting. This voting method allows eligible electors to cast their ballot securely and conveniently during the voting period.
Advance Voting & Voter Assistance
Advance voting days will be available within the allowable voting period as per the Municipal Elections Act, voter assistance locations, and accessibility supports will be provided to help ensure all eligible residents are able to participate. Details regarding advance voting periods, locations, and available assistance will be posted on this webpage as information becomes available.
