You may need a fire inspection for:
- Business licensing
- Building permit approvals
- Real estate transactions
- Complaints or concerns
To schedule an inspection, contact the Fire Department. Fees may apply, please refer to our Approved Fees and Charges for details.

Fireworks

- Fireworks on private property are only allowed on the two days preceding the listed holiday, day of, or and two days following:

Firework safety tips:
- Always read and follow the instructions on the fireworks packaging.
- Fireworks should only be handled and lit by responsible adults. Never give fireworks or sparklers to children.
- Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby in case of fire.
- Set off fireworks in a clear, open area, far away from buildings, trees, dry grass, or anything flammable.
- Light only one firework at a time, and never hold a firework in your hand.
- Never attempt to relight a “dud” firework. Wait 15–30 minutes, then soak it in water before disposing.
- Make sure spectators stay back at a safe distance and upwind from the launch area.
